AI for actual life

Making 24 hours feel like enough.

I'm Miles. I use AI and automation to handle the boring bits of life — fewer decisions, less admin, more evenings. Not an expert. Just figuring it out as I go, and sharing what actually works.

Who's Miles?

A regular person, not a guru.

Miles is my alter ego — me, with slightly better sentences. No course to sell you, no morning routine to defend. Just someone whose days used to run him, working out how to turn that around.

Most of what's written about AI is aimed at businesses: jargon, metrics, email optimisation. I'm more interested in what it does for a normal week. The washing-up end of technology. I share the wins, the questions, and the things that went sideways — in roughly equal measure.

What this is about

Three threads, one idea: your time is the point.

Time, reclaimed

Not productivity hacking. Just getting your day back, so the 5-to-9 after work feels like living instead of catching up on everything else.

AI as an extra pair of hands

Tools that handle the tasks so I don't have to — sorting admin, drafting the boring stuff, figuring out dinner from whatever's left in the fridge.

More than one income

Building the different facets of a digital life, slowly and sustainably — with AI doing the heavy lifting so one person can run what used to take a team.

The unexpected bits

Things I've actually asked AI to do

The practical stuff matters. But honestly? These might be what sold me.

  • Recommend a Burgundy under £20
  • Plan a week of dinners from a half-empty fridge
  • Write a packing list for a wet weekend in Wales
  • Build me an entire website
  • Untangle three months of receipts
  • Explain my energy bill like I’m five
  • Settle an argument about how to load a dishwasher
